DOC is located at MK Academy which is a creative space based in Dundalk,
offering art & craft classes, workshops for all ages and experience levels.
Founded by Don Keating (Don O'Ceitinn) to support creativity, in the local community.
MK Academy provides a relaxed, welcoming environment where everyone is encouraged to explore, learn,
and create and build social connections.
DOC began as a passion project of Don Keating, founded the year before his passing with the aim of bringing more arts and crafts into the local community.
His idea was simple: create a space where creativity is accessible, supportive, & free from pressure.

Our classes are open to everyone, from complete beginners to experienced artists. We offer separate adult and children’s classes, ensuring each group has an environment suited to their needs. All sessions are currently delivered in person in Dundalk, with plans to explore online options in the future.

With a range of qualified artists and teachers, DOC does not follow a single style or philosophy. Class sizes vary depending on the discipline, with a maximum of 30 participants. Our focus is on the creative process rather than perfection, encouraging experimentation, confidence, and enjoyment.
DOC operates independently while being based within MK Academy, part of the Don Keating Group, allowing us to remain flexible, community-focused, and creatively diverse.

The Academy was named by Don after his late son Michael Keating.MK Academy
